Overview of Career MegaSkills® Training
Goals of Training
1. To build abilities of instructors to gain maximum benefit from Career MegaSkills materials.
2. To enable instructors to connect and integrate the work of Career MegaSkills with other, ongoing program efforts.
3. To build abilities to extend and reinforce the teachings of Career MegaSkills and related programs.
Training Activities focus on Real-School/Real Life Situations … how-to’s for instructors to use Career MegaSkills to teach students required competencies for modern day job successes.
* Anticipate issues before they become problems
* Assume greater responsibility
* Communicate more effectively in speech and writing
* Determine resource needs
* Exercise leadership and more reasonable decisions
* Identify problems and solutions
* Know how to obtain and use information
* Learn new skills and new technology
* Motivate themselves and others
* Plan projects and establish priorities
* Understand more about their individual role in larger systems
* Work more cooperatively with others.
Time Frames
Half day and whole day sessions. Longer time frame allows for demonstrations, role playing and experiential activities.
Career MegaSkills® Training focuses on building student abilities to identify resources, work well with others, use information effectively, build thinking and basic skills, enhance personal habits associated with school and work success.
